I apologize, I have not been active here for a couple of years, I updated my profile to better reflect the present. I am diverse, I prefer nature to recharge my soul. Spend summers camping with my family, friends or my dogs. Enjoy culture, history, technology, dance, people and alternative points of view. I'm an empath, so I sense more than the average person. Married once, for 30 years, my divorce was final in February 2019. I have dated a few times, but have not found the soul I'm looking for. I will learn Spanish, it is easier if I'm with someone who uses it regularly. Spiritual, but not religious. I have little faith in the religions of men. I respect the faith of others, I just don't share it. I have studied the major religions thoroughly, to understand others point of view. Enjoy music, dance, culture and food. I am in love with Colombia, I have been to the Cali area twice. First in the fall of 2021, and again in fall 2022. I felt much more comfortable in the coffee region north of Cali. Comfortable in a crowd of people, also comfortable alone in nature. Life is much better when shared. I don't use Facebook, which owns WhatsApp or any other social networking apps. I know what they are doing, I don't want to be part of the experiment, :-). I grew up poor on a small farm. I've worked on cattle ranches. Been an automotive mechanic, civil draftsman, I took electronics in college. Self-taught in computing and networking. I've spent most of my life in cyber-security, automation, microwave back haul, and cellular networks. Good luck in your search.

Yes ma'am - I'm a Texan - a gentleman in the classic sense of the word. Friendly, funny, approachable, calm, gracious (I hope) and happy---a nice guy. I open doors, pull out chairs (and push them back in, of course) and respect you and your family and friends. I don't fuss and fight - wasted time - wasted life. I am very low maintenance and my bravado tank stays mostly empty. I throw all of my cards on the table from the offset and let them land where they may. For me now it's Life over Lifestyle - Substance over Form. I love being the dad of 3 wonderful grown children. I am very active, however need a bit of calm and quiet time occasionally. I am very much a beach/water person. Love the mountains, too, however, the beach ever calls. I love U2, Pavarotti, James Taylor and everything in between - and I've recently discovered I love The Doors. I'm a walker/hiker and book a lot of miles - mostly when my quiet time comes---very early in the morning and started cycling (6.09.18) early in the morning and love it - starting at 10 miles a day and I love knowing I will only love it more as my skills and cycling muscles improve. At this age we are all dinged up a bit - all part of being happy and joyful, kind and peaceful, gracious and thankful. My personal mantra is "Walk in The Light and Share The Joy". I think people can see God in us, even when we don't speak of it. We can affirm Him through our behavior towards others. Joy, Kindness and Hope can go a very long way. I recently read where Mother Teresa said "Be the window thru which others see God". I sure hope that's me. :-) ”
